Volunteering with Shelburne Rescue

In 1985, Shelburne Rescue was founded as an all-volunteer service department of the Town of Shelburne. Shelburne Rescue remains committed to volunteerism and has a robust program of ~30 active volunteers who augment daily ambulance staffing. Shelburne Rescue is actively looking for Volunteer EMS providers and offers numerous benefits to volunteers to help promote personal and professional growth. Volunteer Application Process

Apply for a volunteer EMS provider position (link below).
An interview will be scheduled with the applicant.
If accepted, the applicant will complete a pre-volunteer background check (VCIC/ NCIC), Driver’s License check, EMS certification/ license validation, and pre-volunteer physical exam.
Once determined fit for duty, the applicant will become a probationary volunteer and have 30 days to complete an initial orientation checklist.
The probationary volunteer can then pursue training as a medical attendant (Third) or driver.
Probationary volunteers will be on probation for six months. If they successfully complete the probation, they will become regular Active Volunteers.
